How to wash and care for viscose:

• Viscose shouldn’t be washed after every wear. Instead, hang garments to ventilate.

• Viscose is best hand-washed in cold or lukewarm water, without soaking. Rinse the garment without wringing.

• To machine wash viscose, wash at a cold setting, on a low spin using a small amount of detergent. A mesh bag can help protect garments from snagging or twisting too much in the washer.

• To dry, lay the garment on a towel and roll up the towel to absorb excess moisture. Then lay flat on a drying rack or hang to air dry.

• To steam (don't iron), keep a few inches of distance between the steamer and the garment, and don't steam in one place of fabric for too long. To avoid damaging embellishments or prints, steam the garment inside out to get rid of the wrinkles. For an energy-efficient method, simply hang in the bathroom while taking a hot shower. The steam will reduce creases.

The benefits of viscose:

Viscose is made from renewable plants and is a great lightweight material that drapes well and has a lustrous finish. This versatile fabric is breathable and absorbent. It is this affinity to water that makes viscose so good at absorbing water. It also makes the fabric highly breathable, which is essential for comfort. Breathable fabrics remove water vapour (and heat) from your skin, leaving you feeling cool, dry and comfortable.
